MOCCAE Holds Majlis on Supply Chain Resilience at UN General Assembly

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment convened a High-Level Ministerial Majlis and Resilience Dialogue at the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The dialogue, titled 'From Shock to Resilience: Safeguarding Food Security and Critical Supply Chains Amid Regional Disruptions', was chaired by Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak. Participants included senior government officials, international organizations, and development and financial institutions. The discussion examined food and water system readiness and the continuity of critical supply chains, including energy, fertilizers, and agricultural inputs.

The Majlis emphasized that food security depends on the entire system's ability to operate under pressure, not just production levels. The dialogue focused on shifting from reacting to disruptions to proactively building resilience across trade and transport routes. This effort addresses the stability of essential global inputs.
