Montana Announces Funding for Early Childhood Providers

The Montana Early Childhood Account Board approved $8.5 million in funding for early childhood programs in Montana. This funding includes a flexible workforce support program that will direct $3 million annually to eligible child care providers over the next two years. The funds may be used for operational investments such as employee child-care costs, health and wellness benefits, and professional development.

The funding is intended to help providers recruit and retain workers while supporting the stability and growth of high-quality child-care businesses. The organization Zero to Five Montana works with parents, providers, tribes, employers, and policymakers on these issues.
