MCD Updates Health Policy and Intensifies Anti-Encroachment Drives in Delhi

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has revised its Health Empanelment Policy to improve medical services for employees, pensioners, and senior citizens. Under the new policy, regular employees and their dependents will receive cashless indoor treatment at empanelled hospitals at CGHS rates. The MCD also continued city-wide enforcement against dangerous buildings and unauthorized constructions, carrying out 29 demolition actions across all 12 zones.

The policy changes aim to provide wider healthcare options for beneficiaries, including coverage for contractual employees for the first time. The concurrent intensive enforcement drive aims to ensure compliance with building norms and safeguard public safety in the capital.
