North Eastern Railway Intensifies Operations Amid Adverse Weather in Eastern UP

The North Eastern Railway (NER) is increasing monitoring and maintenance efforts across its network due to heavy rainfall and strong winds affecting eastern Uttar Pradesh. From its headquarters in Gorakhpur, the NER general manager is closely overseeing train movements and reviewing situations with divisional managers. Continuous monitoring is underway on critical infrastructure, including tracks, bridges, overhead equipment, and signaling systems. Dedicated teams are conducting track inspections, drainage clearance, and erosion-control measures in vulnerable locations.

The proactive measures are being taken to ensure safe and uninterrupted train operations across the NER network.
