Why it matters
The launch confirms a successful supply chain for premium Bragança tobacco inputs into the finished cigar product. The extended aging process, which includes a six-month fermentation period for the Bragança leaf, is intended to add depth to the blend. The cigars are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers on October 1.
Brazil is one of the nine countries considered part of the Amazonian region.
