TxDOT Project Brings New Sidewalks to Beaumont; City Planning Future Expansion

The Texas Department of Transportation is undertaking a project in Beaumont that includes the installation of new sidewalks along College Street. The work is specifically identified as a TxDOT project and not a City of Beaumont initiative. Separately, the City of Beaumont is initiating a process to develop a sidewalk master plan after receiving voter approval through a bond election. This city plan will identify areas of greatest need and establish a data-driven approach for future installations.
