Peoria secures long-term water supply credits from Vidler Water Company
What happened
The city of Peoria approved two agreements with Vidler Water Company to purchase additional water supplies. These agreements secure 173,672.7 acre-feet of long-term storage credits from Vidler, spread across 100 years. This acquisition also includes 120 acres of land, two wells, and associated infrastructure in La Paz County. The city sought these additional sources due to the persistent drought and scheduled federal cuts to Peoria’s water sources starting January 1, 2027.
