China Accelerates Nationwide Computing Power Network Under 15th Five-Year Plan

Wang Jinping, president of the China Association of Information, stated that China is accelerating the construction of a nationwide computing power network. This network has been incorporated into the national "six networks" infrastructure framework as the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) begins. The announcement was made at the Computing Power Network Industry Conference and AI Computational Power Industry Expo 2026 in Beijing.

The computing power network is considered a cornerstone of China's future infrastructure, alongside networks for water, power grids, and telecommunications. The top-level decision, formalized in April 2026, is expected to unlock new strategic development opportunities within the country's digital age infrastructure.
