WCES to Build Specialty Gases Plant in Gujarat for India's Semiconductor Sector

WCES, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has announced its entry into India's specialty gases business. The company is constructing a dedicated plant in GIDC Saykha, Dahej, Gujarat, to serve the country's high-tech manufacturing needs. The facility will produce various gases, including UHP Ammonia, and will feature dedicated units for UHP Ammonia purification, Phosphine/Hydrogen (PH₃/H₂) mixing, UHP Oxygen, and UHP Hydrogen.

The move supports India's expansion into chip and electronics manufacturing under the Semicon India 2.0 programme. Currently, high-purity process gases and chemicals are largely imported, creating a critical supply bottleneck for the country. WCES aims to establish itself as a one-stop supplier for India's fabrication plants, OSAT units, and advanced electronics manufacturers.
