Zai Lab Presents Early-Stage Results for zoci in Small Cell Lung Cancer
What happened
Zai Lab presented findings from a Phase I study at the European Society for Medical Oncology meeting regarding zoci, a DLL3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate. The study, which involved patients with extensive-stage disease, showed that 27 out of 33 patients achieved a confirmed response when receiving zoci at 1.6 mg/kg combined with atezolizumab, resulting in an objective response rate of 81.8%. Across the entire doublet population, the confirmed objective response rate was 81.4%.

Why it matters
The results support Zai Lab’s strategy to advance zoci for frontline treatment of small cell lung cancer. The company plans to initiate three potentially registrational trials by the end of the year, covering first-line small cell lung cancer and second-line neuroendocrine carcinoma.
