A wildfire broke out on Saturday near the Mirador de Igualeja viewpoint, in the area between Serranía de Ronda and Sierra Bermeja. The regional government of Andalusia activated the emergency phase of the Infoca Plan in response to the fire's spread. The regional minister for health and emergencies, Antonio Sanz, announced that the village of Igualeja, which has just over 700 residents, has been placed under a precautionary lockdown. Emergency services also evacuated a house where three people were staying.
