NSCDC busts fake fruit juice factory in Badagry with Nigerian Army support

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested two female suspects in Badagry for producing fake fruit juice, which was made by mixing water, synthetic chemical flavourings, and industrial sweeteners without real fruit. The operation was carried out after surveillance and involved the Nigerian Army formation in the area. The suspects were caught at the fake fruit juice factory on September 19 and 20, 2026.

The bust addresses the production and distribution of illegal and unsafe goods within the region. Reports indicate that the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have been conducting intelligence-driven operations and community engagements in Lagos and Ogun states.
