Ports-to-Plains Alliance advances major US-Mexico-Canada trade corridor strategy

The Ports-to-Plains Alliance is advancing a strategy known as “57 to 27” to strengthen the connection between Mexico’s Highway 57, which serves Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and Future Interstate 27 in the United States. This strategy is part of a broader effort to create a secure, redundant, and economically important transportation corridor connecting Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The Alliance's vision extends north through high priority corridors toward Canada.

The corridor is intended to provide an additional major north-south trade route west of Interstate 35 and east of Interstate 25. This route is designed to connect agriculture, energy, manufacturing, and distribution centers with major east-west interstates and international gateways.
